Cox's Orange Pippin Size:M116 A late aromatic eating appleCox's Orange Pippin is the classic English apple, often spoken of as the very best of dessert apples, with a complex mix of flavours. It's a chance variety, grown from a seedling in the 19th century. Fruit is medium sized with an orange red flush and red stripes. It can be a little tricky to grow as it doesn't resist disease very well, but for the enthusiast, it was worth a go in the right conditions. (Photo credit: David Wright, used under license)
