There were lots of problems with affinity back in the day, but as long as Krark-Clan Ironworks stays banned I think the free stuff affinity gives is not quite up to the rate of the free stuff in Rakdos scam/evoke
While Ultra Beasts aren't exactly the most popular Pokmon, I do think that the format changes to Full Arts that Ultra Beasts bring was needed within the Sun & Moon era of the Pokmon TCG
