2023 Sciara – Sensazione di Lava – Etna Rosso – DOC Sauvignon blanc Genuinely singularA tiny production cuve from vines aged 50 to 80 years, grown on volcanic ash, rock and sand between 930 and 960 metres on Mount Etna. A blend of Nerello Mascalese and Grenache, fermented naturally with wild yeast and bottled with minimal intervention. Aromatic and savoury, with dried flowers, white pepper and a hint of pink grapefruit. Fine boned and mineral rather than powerful. Good with grilled fish, charcuterie, or something herb driven.
