Painted on a stormy day with strong light  which cast all the colour across the sea as it hit the wet sands

the sun is lower and can come right through the tops of the clean waves before they break as depicted here

Earthy colours and a drifting subtle sky with a textured foreground

We have always called this rock ' camel rock' since childhood

The shimmering light of the last sun on the sea was magical and the breakwater silhouetted in the background. The sky was an deep orange and spread right over the beach as we left.
