Description

Thief of Sanity Thief of Sanity saw lots of play when it was Standard-legal, either as a main deck inclusion or out of sideboards

It helps that the mana can be any combination of colors, while Savage Ventmaw can only make red and green mana when it attacks

Even with the narrower effect than some other cards, having the option to do either when you need it is really good and easily outweighs any narrowness it does have

Fable has been turning up all over Standard, of course, but it has also made it back as far as Red-based Prison and Stompy decks in Legacy (and some people have even been trying it out in Vintage)
