The viola is carved from solid tonewoods in Stentor's unique workshop environment, with a spruce front and maple back, neck and ribs. This produces an instrument with good tone, a responsive sound and reliable performance. The pegs, nut and saddle are ebony to allow much better overall playability and tuning stability and
