A charming and early whitework embroidery hand embroidered signed and dated Jane Horns work 1825. The sampler has a gorgeous nave quality and depicts a cornucopia (horn of plenty) full of flowers. We think this was probably made be a schoolgirl and describe it as a sampler because it employs many different stitches and techniques.
