The deck is built to ping opponents early, then drop enormous threats that would normally take ten turns to cast naturally
I believe that the decks did miss by only making the face commander care about the creature type and that, once again, there was a wide expanse between the precons power level and the true power level of the commander
Ideal Starting Hands When playing with this Dimir Mill deck, the ideal starting hand will have: Three lands One or two low-cost removal/counter spells One creature or planeswalker And, in the perfect scenario, a copy of The Terminus of Return If you're going to try and start with two lands, a copy of The Terminus of Return is a non-negotiable, and you'll also need a way to draw cards quickly or scry/surveil to see what's on top of your deck
Trigger doublers are already a good start, and theres lots of potential subthemes to explore with Isshin, like myriad, mobilize, or firebending, to name a few mechanics
